Wildfire Resistant Habitat Mix (No Grasses)

This mix is designed to create diverse habitat while reducing ignition risk in areas that are prone to wildfires. These species were selected from a list developed by USDA Forest Service SCIRP of plants wih high Live Fuel Moisture and minimal standing thatch/dead leaf litter. Although still in research and development, this mix is likely to reduce ignitability from sparks and embers. These plants are known to establish and persist in disturbed areas, compete with non-native annual species, and provide other benefits such as soil stabilization and pollinator habitat.
