Shell Leaf Penstemon is a native perennial plant found in the central parts of the United States and is often called Large Flowered Beardtongue. This member of the Snapdragon family is often found in open dry areas.

Adapts well to dry and sandy, well drained soils
Mature height of 2-3 feet
Large purple flowers can be seen in bloom from May-July
Attracts hummingbirds and pollinator
Dormant seeding in late fall allows for natural stratification
