Festuca roemeri

Native, Cool season, long-lived perennial bunchgrass. Occurs in full sun to partial shade on moderately dry to moist meadows and grassy openings in the Pacific Coastal states. Excellent for habitat improvement and restoration within its native range. Slow to establish. May be confused with <a href="/festuca-rubra-creeping-red-fescue">non-native Creeping red fescue (F. rubra)</a>. Varieties listed below.
