Mountain phlox
Leptosiphon grandiflorus
Formerly Linanthus grandifloras. Low-growing annual native endemic to California with soft white and lilac flowers, blooming April to July. Widely adaptable, occurring in well-drained open prairies, shrub and woodland habitats, often in dense colonies when moisture is adequate; up to 4,000 ft. elevation. Use in restoration and wildflower blends.
