Mammoth wildrye
Leymus racemosus ssp. racemosus
Formerly Elymus giganteus. Tall Cool season, rhizomatous perennial sod-former occurring on coarse textured, well-drained sites. Poor forage value but outstanding for erosion control on dunes and other blowout areas.
