Little bluestem

Little bluestem is a warm-season, bunch-type, perennial native grass found throughout much of the United States. This intermediate stature native grass is an important specie for many uses, applications and ecosystems. Several improved cultivars offer varying degrees of adaptability, palatability, heat and drought tolerance and forage quality.

ALDOUS

Tall, leafy, vigorous, medium-late in maturity.
Produces abundant forage under favorable conditions.
Aldous Little Bluestem is adapted across the Mid-west and Upper Midwest.
Found on many range sites from low to high elevations.
Considered a valuable grass for erosion control, pastures and rangelands.

CAMPER

Moderately-late maturing Little bluestem variety with a broad genetic composition.
Recommended for Nebraska and parts of Oklahoma and Texas.
Wide-spread in the Southwest Great Plains.
Found in many range sites from low to high elevations.
Considered a valuable grass for erosion control, pastures and rangelands.

CIMARRON

Tall, leafy composite of several strains of little bluestem from southwest Kansas and parts of Colorado, New Mexico, Texas and Oklahoma.
Very wide-spread in the Southwest Great Plains.
Found in many range sites from low to high elevations.
