Giant Burreed

Sparganium eurycarpum

A 2-6 foot tall perennial, giant bur-reed grows best in wet to inundated soils with high fertility and full sunlight. It can be found growing in its moist habitat across much of the United States. Its green/white blooms can be seen from July-August before setting seed that are utilized by waterfowl.
