Farewell-to-spring

Common native annual with pale pink to deep red petals, often with a dark red spot in the center, blooming May to August. Occurs in well-drained to dry soils of meadows, roadsides and woodland openings. Tolerant of alkaline soils, clays and seaside conditions. Use in wildflower meadows and gardens. Attracts bees and hummingbirds.
