Drought tolerant, short-lived perennial native with daisy-like brilliant yellow flowers, blooming intermittently from March to November. Common in well-drained gravelly roadsides, plains, low washes, mesas and slopes of desert scrub and pinyon-juniper communities, sometimes in large patches; up to 7,000 ft. elevation. Attractive to bees, butterflies and other nectar-seeking insects.
