Buffelgrass
Pennisetum ciliare
Warm season, long-lived, perennial bunchgrass adapted to well-drained sites. Drought tolerant but cold sensitive. May be aggressive on some sites. Very palatable and nutritious to livestock, and withstands heavy grazing. Commonly used as a pasture grass in upland areas of the southwest deserts.
