This variety, though short in stature, has a long maturity that adds to total yield
Roughly 50% more leaves that are much longer and wider than tall forage sorghums, and short but very thick and soft pithy stems
Quality is exceptional due to BMR genetics, good grain yield, a very high leaf to stem ratio, and lack of a hard rind on the stems
The shorter mature height makes for exceptional standability
If planted after July 1, Brutis will not produce grain, making it an ideal stockpiled winter grazing resource for brood cows
