Triglochin maritima
Seaside Arrowgrass (Triglochin maritima) is a perennial forb native to Northern and Western US states (such as Washington, Oregon, California, and Minnesota) that can thrive in USDA Zones 3–8. Reaching a mature height of 1–3 feet with an upright tufted growth habit, it features fleshy, slender, dark green strap-like leaves and produces dense, greenish spike-like flower racemes. It thrives in saline or brackish marshes, alkaline flats, and tidal shores and is ideal for coastal wetland restoration, saline flat stabilization, and estuarine habitat creation.
