Arizona Fescue

Arizona Fescue (Festuca arizonica) is a perennial grass native to Southwestern US states (such as Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, and Utah) that can thrive in USDA Zones 4–8. Reaching a mature height of 1–3 feet with a dense, tufted bunching growth habit, it features fine, stiff, blue-green wire-like leaf blades and produces narrow seed panicles. It thrives in dry, well-drained ponderosa pine forests and mountain meadows and is ideal for high-elevation slope stabilization, forest understory revegetation, and watershed protection.
